   About the Library 

 

The library is an important reference work relating to Nominations or Remunerations committees, and is designed to be of service to those who:

 - serve on a nominations or remuneration committee of a corporate or government entity,

 

- are responsible for coordinating the activities of such a committee (whether as chief executive officer, HR executive or company secretary), or

 

- provide advice to any such committee.

The library specifically offers access to -


   information on corporate governance issues and best practices affecting the remuneration of senior executives, including material on -

 

        the functions and functioning of remuneration committees;


     o    the development and application of the remuneration framework for senior executive pay;


     o    incentive schemes, share schemes and retention strategy


♦    regularly updated directors' remuneration look-up tables based on the regressed disclosed remuneration data of the approximately 800 executive directors serving on JSE-listed companies, compiled by business sector and market capitalisation size; as well as their exposure to share option schemes;


♦    regularly updated statistics on non-executive directors fees for services as director;

 

    the results of annual special surveys of:

 

      o     share option scheme grant policy; and 


      o    non-executive directors'  time commitment to board and sub-committee work.
