P-E Corporate Services SA (PECS) consults in the field of senior executive remuneration policy, best practices and level of pay.
The consultants employed by or associated with Finrec are co-opted to PECS for consulting assignments in these fields. They are able in particular to assist corporate clients to develop financial models and financial solutions by which their share-based, profit-sharing and incentive schemes can be regulated on a self-funded (win-win™) basis.
Consulting services are provided regularly on this basis to remuneration committees in the areas of "• the development of a motivation and retention strategy for senior executives,
• the development of other remuneration policies to serve as a framework™ for the regulation of senior executive pay in the future (including market positioning strategy),
• the design and drafting of scheme rules for share-based and other incentive schemes for senior executives and/or support staff,
• the implementation of performance management systems, the selection of key performance areas and the determination of performance bonuses, and merit increment policy, on the basis of performance ratings for senior executives,
• the review of employment benefits and package structure of senior executives,
• the benchmarking of the pay of senior executives with the JSE database or the Top Executive Remuneration Survey, or both, including the level of variable pay and the exposure to share-based long-term incentives, and
• the benchmarking of the level of the fees of non-executive directors for services as director.
