Maintenance Planning
A Two-Day Course in Maintenance Planning Methods Ideal for Staff Involved with the Day-to-Day Management and Planning of Maintenance
Successfully achieving the goals and objectives of the maintenance department depends on the maximisation of all resources concerned with the maintenance activities. In many cases the effective use of these resources are never achieved. Studies have showed that the average artisan spends a mere 30% of their time on maintenance related activities. It is often the foremen that carry the blame for this situation. They have to translate plans and policies into effective action. However, most foremen are good artisans who are promoted without formal training in the techniques of successful front-line maintenance management.
This course has been designed to provide all those persons involved with the day-today management and planning of maintenance with the necessary skills to enable them to improve the productivity of the maintenance function. It provides delegates with practical tools that can be used immediately in their own situations.
By the end of this programme the delegates will . . .
Learn the full range of skills needed for the maximisation of maintenance resources. This will include the understanding of the organisational objectives, practical workshop administration skills, the development of maintenance schedules using Reliability-centred Maintenance, and the planning and control of shutdowns.
