Project Managemenet

A Two-Day Course in Project Management

Project management is the fastest growing management discipline in business and
is considered fundamental for organisational efficiency. Indeed, many organisations
are looking towards project management principles for delivering day-to-day work
results. The tools and techniques that were once the sole domain of project
managers delivering large and complex construction and engineering projects are
now integrated into the daily work activities of everyone in the organisation. It is
envisaged that more and more non-project managers will get things done using
basic project management principles.

This course has been designed for persons with limited project management
knowledge but who want to use project management concepts in their daily
work. Typically, this includes all staff involved in ‘projects’, irrespective of
their job function or the industry in which they work.

By the end of this programme the delegates will . . .

Understand project management sufficient well to set-up and control their projects.
They will learn the fundamentals of project management and about scoping the
project. They will learn how to build and manage the work plan and the budget, and
how to manage the scope. With the additional understanding of project
communication, risk and quality they will have the knowledge to successfully
manage their own projects. The knowledge gained during the course will be reenforced
through a case study.
