Terms and conditions

The following are the subscription fees payable for access licences during 2010:

Single-user access licences:

 Notes: 

 

The Student fee rate applies only if the application is supported by proof of registration for a post-graduate course of study,  is valid for one year only, and is not renewable..

 

The Free Trial license offers immediate access and is valid for a limited period of three working days following registration. It enables the Free Trial user access to all areas of the Library and to peruse them at will; however it does not allow the downloading or printing of the web-site material.

Corporate multiple-user access licenses:

The corporate multi-user licenses are based on organization size. The fees are quoted inclusive of VAT, with a varied number of users, as indicated on the table below:

Additional user licenses above the above limits are charged at R1140 per additional license.

Bound copies of publication:

These are provided with hard cover binder and section dividers. Replacement pages are forwarded quarterly.

 

The full single-user or multiple-user fee tariffs as quoted above apply where a hard-copy version is provided. In addition a service fee at the rate of R600 (excl. V.A.T.) per annum is levied to cover printing costs and the replacement page service. The Student concessionary tariff is not applicable to bound copies.

Conditions of access:

1. The payment of the subscription fee entitles the user/users to access the library on our website upon the entering of a user password provided by the library administrator, which will be valid for a period of twelve months from the first day of the month immediately following the date of registration, plus the intervening days between these dates.  Thereafter, on renewal, the twelve-month period will run from the renewal date.
2. Subscription fee rates are revised at the beginning of every calendar year, and will apply to renewals during that year. Subscribers will be advised of such tariff changes well in advance of their renewal dates.
3. Should a subscriber's renewal date pass without a renewal subscrption being received, the subscriber will be allowed a 30-day period of grace from the renewal date to pay the renewal; whereafter, if the renewal has still not been received, the applicable access password will be de-activated.
4. Free trial access is granted on request for a period of three working days, but this permits only reading the website and does not allow for the downloading or printing of any part of the publication.
5. The downloading of the publication is permitted for all users (excepting free trial users) on the following basis:

    

   1. Material may be downloaded by chapter or appendix in individual pdf-formatted files.
   2. Upon selection of the download key, the file is transmitted to the e-mail address of the registered user.

    

6. Copyright in this publication vests in P-E Corporate Services SA (Pty) Ltd. (PECS). No part of the publication may be reproduced for any other person or concern other than the office bearers of the organization employing the user, nor stored in a retrieval system and transmitted in any form or by any means to any other person or concern, without the prior permission of PECS in writing.

Registration

Please select the subscription you require from the option list shown below.  You will be presented with the appropriate registration form to be completed and submitted.

Free Trial subscribers: 

Immediately after the "Register Now" button has been clicked, you will be advised that your registration has been accepted, under the limiting conditions outlined above. 

Other subscribers:

The registration form submitted will be processed on receipt, and you will receive an e-mail within 24 hours confirming the registration and containing your log-on password.  This confirmation will be accompanied by an invoice for the amount due, payable within 30 days.
