Reliability Centred Maintenance

A Three Day Workshop for Maintenance Managers, Supervisors, and Planners

Reliability Centred Maintenance refers to a maintenance programme designed to realise the inherent reliability capabilities of equipment, and is concerned with identifying those practices that enhance preventative maintenance.

The objective of RCM is to develop a minimum preventative maintenance programme that includes only those tasks necessary to preserve equipment, safety and economic reliability. Such a programme includes a systematic approach to developing preventative maintenance tasks for specific equipment from a disciplined application of a decision logic process. This considers the failure severity and the most applicable and effective maintenance tasks in order to prevent equipment failures. It also considers hidden function components.

By the end of this programme the delegates will…

Have a full understanding of RCM and how to apply it for the review of existing, and the development of new schedules. Through the use of practical case studies delegates will learn the practicalities of applying RCM effectively. In addition, they will learn the concept of the RCM Task Force and how to launch an RCM Programme in their own organisations.
